Lobos reportedly looking to open season against the Aggies

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- The Lobos are in the works of possibly swapping a couple of dates for the upcoming season.

The Athletic was first report UNM is in talks with Idaho State to push back their game on August 29th to September 19th.

The Lobos are reportedly interested in playing New Mexico state on August 29th to open the season. 

The Lobos and Aggies have met in August just once in their 110 meetings- since 1894.

They last played in August in the 1996 season opener where the Lobos won 28-7.
