ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- New Mexico United has been in several close matches throughout the season, many times coming out on top.

However, on Saturday, a late goal from El Paso handed United just their second loss since the restart in July.

With the gap closing between United and El Paso for first place, Saturday's match in Salt Lake City is a big one.

"We need to put in a strong performance, and we need to get a result on the road again," said Devon Sandoval.

The last time United faced Real Monarchs, they beat them two times in the same week

Sandoval knows his team can't let up if they want to stay atop the table

"We got to take care of business," he said. "It's a business trip, and we get three points."

United and Real Monarchs go to battle Saturday in Utah.
