ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — New Mexico United has been in phase one of training for over a month now. That training has consisted of small groups of four with limited communication between players and coaches.
The USL announced last week that phase two of training will increase the number of players to 10.
Teams will be soon be allowed to use weight rooms and coaches will be able to give more in-depth instructions to the players.
While that phase has not officially started yet, United head coach Troy Lesesne is hopeful that it will begin next week.
Before the season resumes on July 11., several details still need to be ironed out.
