ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- Eddie Nunez, Director of Athletics at UNM, addressed the search for a new football coach Tuesday.

Nunez said interest in the job is overwhelming. He added that people would be surprised by some of the names who applied for the job.

While no final decision has been made, Nunez said he doesn't want to still be looking for a coach in January.

"It feels very close but very close could change in a moment's notice," Nunez said.

The new coach will replace Bob Davie.
