United focused on matching Real Monarchs’ energy

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- New Mexico United takes on the winless Real Monarchs Friday.

United is coming off a loss to 1-0 loss to Loudoun United FC.

Coach Troy Lesesne said he wants his team to match the energy of Real Monarchs because they will be hungry for thier first win.

"They’ve had some different personnel in, and they’re only four matches into the season because they’ve had one of their matches postponed, so I think everybody is still trying to gauge exactly where they are right now," Lesesne said.

Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m.
