ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- As much as New Mexico united would have loved to play at The Lab by now, they've spent the last nine games on the road being tested in a variety of ways.
Saturday, they overcame being a man down to earn a draw in Colorado Springs.
"Those are the moments that are going to define us, and as a group, we came together and, I think, we prepared for moments like that through training, and just also just through your career you see those situations," said Sam Hamilton.
For the third time this season, United will take on El Paso.
Both teams are riding four-game unbeaten streaks. The Locomotive is five points behind United for first place in Group C.
"El Paso is a team that can give us some trouble, but we have to show, like, what kind of team we are by playing our style of play, and I think last game, we kind of fell off of our style of play a little bit," said Amando Moreno.
United and El Paso square off again in Texas on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
