ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- UNM athletic director Eddie Nuñez has been busy trying to figure out the future hold for college sports.

"My focus is to be ready for fall for student athletes to be able to compete in football, soccer, volleyball," Nunez said. "Those first three or four sports that are going to get ramped up. Basketball right after that. So,  if we're doing our part we should be ready to go with whatever is thrown at us.

Nuñez said sports without fans if out of the questions.

However, he said if there is a delay to the start of the football season, or a diminished football season, it shouldn't affect winter sports, which includes men's and women's basketball.

"Whatever happens {we're} going to have to plan for every sport," Nunez said.
