ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The Lobo basketball team has been playing a lot of young players this season.
True freshman Nolan Dorsey had his best game yet in Friday's loss to Utah State.
The North Carolina native scored for the first time in his Lobo career, finishing with seven points in the second half.
Fans could see more of Dorsey next week when the Lobos face UNLV.
"I think going into Boise we felt like we were ready to kind of start to give him that crack, and he struggled a little bit there," said head coach Paul Weir. "It was probably just too big of a moment for him at that point of where he was developmentally, but he practices really hard, he's in great shape, he's a terrific kid, and again, these guys deserve a shot."
