ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- UNM men's basketball Head Coach Paul Weir is getting better look at his team. The Lobos began practice on Wednesday.

Javonte Johnson is in his first year with the Lobos. The freshman, from Colorado, is a prolific scorer. He scored 50 points in one game last season.

Weir believes Johnson will be able to contribute to the team right away.

"He's going to be terrific. He's ready to go. He's ready to roll," Weir said.
