ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- The UNM men's basketball team is following the rules as it prepares for the upcoming season.

The team is meeting in small groups, social distancing and wearing masks.

It's no secret that Paul Weir wants his players to play fast, shoot three-pointers, and have an agressive defense.

Weir believes newcomer Javonte Johnson will fit into that plan.

"He wants it. He's really good physically. He's ready, he's got a ready body, he checks a lot of boxes for what we do offensively and defensively. He's a gym rat he works his tail off," Weir said.
