Fatal accident closes westbound I-40 near Carlisle

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A fatal car accident has closed down westbound I-40 at Carlisle.

APD said traffic will be diverted off the highway near I-40 and University.

Surrounding surface streets will likely be congested as a result of the wreck.

Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes until APD concludes its investigation.
