If you're a student in the Albuquerque metro area who loves art--get ready to show the Duke City what you can do!

Albuquerque Fire Rescue (AFR) is working on their 2019 Fire Safety Coloring Book, and they want to feature drawings from students. 

KOB 4 is teaming up with AFR for the coloring book contest that’s open to all K-12th grade students, including homeschooled students, across the Albuquerque metro area. Students are asked to draw something related to fire safety. 

Coloring Contest Details:

DEADLINE: Friday, February 8th at 5pm

  • K-12 Students (Albuquerque Metro)
  • Drawings MUST be fire safety related and can include things like: 
    • Smoke Alarms
    • Fire Extinguishers
    • Arroyo Safety
    • Fire Escape Routes
    • Stop-Drop and Roll 
    • For more fire safety drawing ideas, click here.
  • Chosen drawings will be featured in AFR coloring book with student’s name and school listed! 
  • Scan and email drawings to: afrcoloringbook@cabq.gov

IMPORTANT: Remember, submit line-only drawings WITHOUT color. Make sure to include: student’s name, school and grade with submission.  

Artwork will be reviewed by AFR staff and winners will be notified by email. Please allow 4-6 weeks for the review process to be completed.
