ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- The Albuquerque High School softball team is on a roll.

They started district play with a sweep of Santa Fe, outscoring the Demons 31-0.

Senior Zay Martinez was perfect in game one, retiring all nine batters that she faced.

"I didn't even realize until after the game," Martinez said. "My coach was like, 'You threw a perfect game' and I was like, 'Oh well that's great.'"

Coach Desi Garcia said he knew Martinez was on the verge of a no-hitter, but he didn't want to talk about it until the end of the game.
