Champions crowned in high school track and field meet

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- Despite the rain, high school students still competed in the state track and field meet Friday.

Springer's Owen Burton took first place in the 1A boys pole vault. He cleared 12 feet.

San Jon's Dustin Bryant won a state title in the boys long jump.

Des Moines Aron Sakelaris finished first in the high jump.
