ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- The La Cueva high school football team is taking its show on the road.

The team moved practice this week to Milne Stadium. The Bears will meet up with Manzano on Saturday afternoon for the Class 6A state title.

La Cueva won it all back in 2009. They hope the change in venue this week leads to a healthy kickoff this weekend.

"Our field is in such bad shape at the end of the season. We got potholes all through the grass and what not," head coach Brandon Back said. "It's about keeping our kids healthy, not getting an ankle sprain late in the week when we don't need it, and then just having the yard markers out and the same type of markings we will see on Saturday."

"It's always a lot of fun to come out here and practice at these stadiums," added senior Reece Wilkinson. "I always enjoy it, but we're more focused on trying to get in the work that we need this week to try and get ready and win the game."
