Cleveland football player earns major honor

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. One of Cleveland High School’s star football players earned a major honor.

Running back Dorian Lewis was named the Gatorade New Mexico Football Player of the Year.

Lewis had a standout season.

He rushed for more than 1,500 yards and scored 24 touchdowns in 9 games.

His season was cut short because of injury.

This was Lewis' first year with the team after transferring from El Paso.
