Tuesday state basketball scores




Cibola 43, Piedra Vista 31                The Panthers took a one point lead into halftime, but the Cougars outscored em 28-15 the final two quarters.

Rio Rancho 40, West Mesa 36         Kamirah Decker had 14 points and Camryn Hawks added 11 as the Mustangs went cold in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, only scoring 5 points over a 16 minute span.  West Mesa put together an 18-8 run in the final quarter but came up short.

Las Cruces 40, Carlsbad 39                         Lady Dawgs rallied from 4 points down in the final 32 seconds to pull out the win.  Brooke Salmon led Las Cruces with a team high 11 points.

Hobbs 58, Eldorado 43                                 A 13-2 run by the Hobbs in the third opened it up.  Amaya Lewis had 18 points.  Ayanna Smith had a double-double with 13 points and 14 boards.  Next up for Hobbs is a matchup with Rio Rancho Thursday at 9:45am at the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho.



Los Lunas 51, Alamogordo 32         The top seed jumped out to an early lead and never looked back.  Ashley Blackwell led the winners with 12 points.

Kirtland Central 46, St. Pius X 42   Haile Gleason posted a game-high 21 points.  A 20-9 run in the final quarter by the Broncos was the difference maker.

Gallup 61, Miyamura 52                  The Bengals had three players in double figures led by junior Ashley Antone with 16 points.

Bloomfield 57, Espanola Valley 33  The Bobcats finished the game on a 23-6 run to put this one out of reach.  They advance to the semifinals.  Alyssa Quintana had a game high 18 points.



Portales 58, West Las Vegas 41       The Rams outscored the Lady Dons in every quarter and had three players in double figures, led by Lindsay Blakey with 16 points.

Shiprock 58, Silver 44                                   The Lady Chieftans started the game on a 10-2 run and never looked back.  They get #1 Portales Thursday at 8am at the Pit.

Moriarty 48, SFIS 42                                    The Pintos get Pojoaque at the Pit in the semifinals Thursday at 11:30am.  Alyssa Adams with a game high 22 points.

Pojoaque 58, Robertson 52 (OT)     Pojoaque came from behind to force overtime and outscored Robertson 11-5 in the final quarter.  The winners had three players in double figures led by Taylor Roybal with 13 points as the #7 seed pulled off the upset.



Texico 54, Pecos 34                           The top seed had 3 players in double figures led by Baylee Sours with 15 points.  They will play Clayton Thursday at 11:30am.

Clayton 57, Tucumcari 47                Clayton outscored Tucumcari 19-7 in the final quarter.  After a great start to the season, Tucumcari lost five of their last 8 games.

Tularosa 50, Eunice 31                     Shacie Marr led Tularosa with 18 points as they put together a 30-7 run in the second and third quarters.

Tohatchi 67, Dulce 45                                   Tohatchi jumped out to an early 26-10 lead and never trailed.  Kalian Mitchell scored a game-high 22 points. Next up is a date with Tularosa.



Logan 48, Tatum 30

Fort Sumner 59, Tse’Yi’Gai 48

Penasco 53, Magdalena 44

Lordsburg 39, Mescalero Apache 36          Anissa Plowman and Madison Miller each scored 11 points in the win.
