ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- The New Mexico Activities Association announced the induction of three new members into its hall of fame.

Louis Baisa of Lordsburg, Cooper Henderson of Artesia, and Pojoaque's Matt Martinez join an elite group who've made significant contributions to interscholastic athletics.

"I see it as an award for our school and our community too because we're a small community and everybody has ownership in everything," said Baisa, the longtime coach at Lordsburg.

"I would hope that I'm just one little cog in representing that standard of excellence that our community really likes to enjoy," added Henderson, who has 293 career football wins.

"If you work hard every day good things happen to you," said Martinez, who led Pojoaque to the 1998 state title. "If you do things right every day, good things happen to you."

The ring ceremony will take place in March.
