Rio Rancho boys coach suspended for two games

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- The Albuquerque metro boys basketball tournament starts on Tuesday, and Rio Rancho will be without its head coach until Friday.

The school suspended Wally Salata for two games for unspecified reasons, saying it could not comment on the matter any further.

The Rams are 6-6 on the season after losing to Espanola Valley in the championship game of their home tournament last week.
