Several schools appeal NMAA's realignment

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- The classification and alignment issue with high school sports in New Mexico is not a done deal just yet.

On Wednesday, the New Mexico Activities Association board of directors heard appeals from Logan High School, Navajo Pine, Roswell, Santa Fe Indian School, Wingate, Alamogordo, Atrisco Heritage, Bernalillo, Dulce, Fort Sumner/House, Pecos and Shiprock.

The board voted to table the final approval of the proposed changes for the 2018-2020 block. A special board of directors meeting will be held before the end of the calendar year.
