West Mesa girls basketball team off to hot start

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- The West Mesa girls basketball team won their third straight Albuquerque Metro Championship.

“Honestly, it feels amazing. Being a senior and playing with the same girls for three years in a row, it’s just an amazing feeling,” said senior Maiah Rivas.

The Mustangs are 13-0 on the season.

Last year, they made it to the state quarterfinals. This year, they’re hungry to do even better.
