Kassi began her career producing, reporting, and anchoring in a newsroom in Medford, Oregon in 2013. During her time there, she covered the Umpqua Community College shooting, the state’s emerging marijuana industry, and several massive wildfires.

Before landing in New Mexico, Kassi traveled to Australia where she worked with kids in low-income communities and spent months volunteering with a medical mission ship on the coast of Papua New Guinea. Kassi loves to travel, but that trip was her most rewarding yet.

Kassi was interested in working in Albuquerque’s fast paced news market since she began her career in broadcast journalism. While she had no idea what life in New Mexico would bring, she knew she would love the state’s natural beauty and opportunities for skiing. The Bosque quickly became one of her favorite places for running and biking and she can’t remember what life was like before Dion’s pepperoni and green chili pizza.
