Megan previously reported in San Luis Obispo, California. She covered many wildfires including the largest in California state history, the Thomas Fire. Megan also covered the deadly Montecito Mudslide, reporting stories of evacuations, rescues and 20 tragic deaths of children and adults.

Megan says she learned from some of the best in the industry by completing internships in Seattle and Spokane.

Megan grew up in a small town in Washington. She attended Washington State University, The Edward R. Murrow College of Communication, where she was also a cheerleader on the co-ed spirit team. Go Cougs! Her favorite part of college was studying abroad on journalism trips to Havana, Cuba, Kathmandu, Nepal and various parts of Western Europe.

One of Megan’s passions is exploring new areas, so coming to beautiful New Mexico was an easy choice. In her free time, Megan enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking outdoors, visiting wineries and the hot rooms of Albuquerque yoga studios. She enjoys reporting on the stories that mean the most to you. Feel free to send story ideas her way and follow her on social media. Please say hi when you see her!
