Ryan Laughlin

Ryan Laughlin is an investigative reporter at KOB 4 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

He has been reporting for KOB 4 since 2018. Within a few weeks on the job, Ryan was the lead reporter on the raid of a terrorist compound in northern New Mexico. He was the first reporter to gain access to the site showing evidence kids were being trained to attack “corrupt institutions.” His reporting immediately received national and international attention.

Ryan also launched a new series called Heart of New Mexico, highlighting the wonderful, unique and quirky things that make the Land of Enchantment special.

Before arriving in Albuquerque, Ryan got his professional start in broadcast journalism reporting in Fargo, North Dakota.

Ryan grew up in Minnesota and graduated with a degree in journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He and his wife were drawn to New Mexico by the mountains and opportunities to snowboard, camp, hike, and hunt. An avid ice hockey fan and player, Ryan was happy to find a couple of ice rinks in the desert.

Ryan and his wife are proud to call themselves part of the Albuquerque community and he would love to hear from you.
