Tommy Lopez joined KOB 4 in April of 2020 as a weekday news reporter and weekend evening news anchor.

He’s from Virginia, and comes to Albuquerque from WSLS, the NBC-affiliate in Roanoke, Virginia. He has family in the area and is excited to be living in the Southwest for the first time.

Tommy graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, in 2013 and then went to work as a sports anchor and reporter for WCBI in Columbus, Mississippi.

He has covered national political stories, crime trends, major hurricanes, tornadoes and more during his time as a journalist.
