DURANGO, Colo. – As the 416 Fire rages on near Durango, those not affected by the fire may be wondering how they can help.

It’s been a difficult week for fire personnel and residents dealing with this massive wildfire.  As with any tragic event, it’s the community support that pulls everyone through.

Here’s a look at how you can help:

Wildland Firefighter Foundation is actively taking monetary donations – Click here to learn more.

Durango’s Food Bank is accepting donations for food and basic supplies. Donations can be dropped off at 194 Bodo Drive, Suite C

Manna Soup Kitchen is taking food and monetary donations – Click here to learn more.

Discover Goodwill is taking clothing donations – Click here to learn more.

The Humane Society of Durango, which has been housing evacuated pets, is taking monetary donations – Click here to learn more.

The City of Durango needs volunteers to work at the community call center. Email volunteer@lpcsar.com and include your name, number, availability and email address.
