AZTEC, N.M. -- All along Main Avenue in Aztec, ribbons of orange and black blew in the wind Friday. This small town is #AztecStrong.

At Main Street Spirit, the grassroots movement is gaining strength.

"It’s been busy. We’ve had phone calls, text messages," owner Cynthia Paschall said. "It’s been nonstop but it's been a good thing.

Paschall created a T-shirt to honor the victims. The shirt features the school mascot with a tear along with the message "Our heads are down, but our hearts are strong." On the back, it says "#AztecStrong."

All proceeds will go to the families of the victims. This quick community response is Aztec strong personified.

"You know what, this is helping the families," Paschall said. "And that’s the most important. We’ve been here a long time. We own several businesses. They support us. We're going to support them."
