FARMINGTON, N.M.- As healthcare workers continue to work through the COVID-19 pandemic, people in the Four Corners are painting positive messages for the health care workers.

"I was just thinking how can I do something to thank them," said artist Christy Clugston.

Clugton runs Inspire Heart Art, a nonprofit that works to enhance well-being through artwork.

Now, she’s hoping banners she created will enhance the well-being of health care workers.

Students from Heights Middle School also participated in the initiative by writing letters of encouragement. Their letters are featured in the banners.

"It makes us feel like we matter and were all trying together to make this better during this crisis," said Michelle Cooper, nurse at San Juan Regional Medical Center.

Clugston says that she wants to spread a message of positivity during this time, a message that has also been echoed by the rest of the community.
