DONA ANA COUNTY, N.M. - A couple is behind bars, facing allegations in the sexual abuse of a 16-year-old family member.

According to the Doña Ana County Sheriff's Office, the abuse began when the victim was just 12-years-old.

Deputies say that lab results confirmed that 53-year-old Bruce Lee's DNA was found on the victim. He is now facing three counts of criminal sexual penetration and one count of criminal sexual contact.

Court documents show that Lee's wife, 43-year-old Jessica Biszick-Lee, called 911 back in 2015 to report the abuse but an investigation suggested the victim suffered from mental illness and was not telling the truth.

According to deputies, the alleged incidents continued and detectives then ordered a SANE exam, or examination by a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner.

Lab results then confirmed that Lee's DNA was indeed found on the victim.

Biszick-Lee was also arrested and has been charged with child abuse and obstruction of reporting child abuse or neglect.

The victim is said to be staying with family members.
