Police: Clovis man critically wounded while playing with gun

CLOVIS, N.M. (AP) - Clovis police say a man was critically wounded in the head in a shooting that another person said had occurred while they were drinking alcohol and playing with a gun.

A Police Department statement says the shooting occurred early Thursday morning and that the wounded 23-year-old man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

The statement says the police investigation continues and that no additional information is immediately available.
