CLOVIS, N.M. – Clovis residents are concerned after another inmate escaped from the Curry County Adult Detention Center.

The Sheriff's office sent out a press release stating Kaitlyn Martinez-Arington "overpowered a Correct Care Solutions contract health-care worker at the facility" Monday night and fled the facility.

On Tuesday morning, she was caught after hiding out in a Clovis home with a man identified as 39-year-old David Gibson.

In June, three inmates broke out of the jail. It turned out to be an inside job. The master control operator is accused of silencing the alarms and unlocking the doors.

Four days later, the inmates were caught after a police standoff in Clovis.

Despite the inmates being caught, residents don't want them to get out in the first place.

"Something is obviously not working, so they got to figure out what's not working and fix it," a local business owner said.

The detention center administrator could not be reached for comment.
