'Santa Train' to take riders on holiday experience

'Santa Train' to take riders on holiday experience

CHAMA, N.M.—All aboard the "Santa Train" for a one-hour excursion to celebrate the holiday season.

The Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad will be carting riders from two locations over the next two weekends. The trains will take off from Chama this weekend and Antonito, Colorado next weekend.

Chama trains will run to the Lobato Trestle and back. Antonito rides will go through the foothills of the San Juan Mountains to the Ferguson trestle and back.

The cost is just $5 for adults 12 and over. Riders under 12 are free.

Organizers are asking each rider to bring a donation of a non-perishable food item or a new, boxed toy.
