It happened around 11:30 a.m. Monday morning between Loving and Jal.

Investigators say a Dodge truck and a semi were both traveling west on State Road 128 when the semi slowed down to make a left turn. That’s when the driver of the Dodge truck rear-ended the semi.

Police say 22-year-old Matthew Rosenbaum of Arkansas was driving the truck and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi was not hurt.

The crash is still under investigation, but police say alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
