ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Farmington Police say a man died while in custody.

According to officials with FPD, officers responded to someone running down the street without clothes on Wednesday night. When they caught up to him, FPD says he fought with officers.

Police said they handcuffed him and, shortly afterward, he stopped breathing. Officers immediately took off the handcuffs and began CPR, but he died at the scene.

The San Juan County Sheriff's Office is taking over the in-custody death investigation. No names have been released.
