FARMINGTON, N.M. — Things have been tough on many business owners due to the pandemic, but one Farmington restaurant is facing even more misfortune.

"We have no power, no electricity, no gas, everything is smoke damage. I'm saying probably 90 percent of our stuff is done,” said Lewis McMullen, general manager and owner of Clancy’s Irish Cantina.

McMullen is referring to the aftermath of a fire that happened Friday night. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but appears to be an electrical fire. No one was injured.

Clancy’s will be closed temporarily. People who want to help can donate to a GoFundMe. The owners said 100 percent of donations will for to the 30 plus employees that are now without a job.

"You know Clancy’s was insured, and we will be rebuilding on that,” McMullen said  “During COVID and all these trying times right now, I mean, it's not easy to find a job. For all of our employees, we have employees that have been with us for ten plus years, and they have to support their families as well, so it's very tough right now. "

McMullen said it will take months to rebuild and hopes the community can come together to help them out.
