SAN JUAN CO., N.M. - The San Juan National Forest will close to the public, starting Tuesday. Officials say the 416 Fire, burning near Durango, continues to pose a threat.
Campgrounds, day use areas, roads and trails inside the San Juan National Forest will all be closed until the area sees adequate rainfall.
The McPhee Recreation Area Complex boat ramp and marina will likely remain open, but access to the shore is not allowed.
