Fernando Hernandez was diagnosed with Hantavirus in March.

Last week, Fernando's father said his son needed a lung and heart transplant.

However, Fernando experienced a brain bleed and was pronounced brain-dead at the Children's Hospital in Cincinnati Friday before being taken off life-support.

Fernando's father said he wanted to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers over the last few months.
