FARMINGTON, N.M. - A state of the art helicopter has been spotted over the Four Corners.

It’s an Airbus H160 from France.

The chopper is going through rigorous heat and altitude testing that only the Four Corners region can provide.

"We can fly 150 knots and we can fly 400 nautical miles," said pilot Olivier Gensse.

The 12-seat helicopter will hit the market in 2019. It will be used for everything from medical services to catering to the rich and famous.

The helicopter is also generating excitement in the Four Corners because of the business opportunities it could open up.

"We are hoping to be able to market this as a possible test site, with facilities that are adequate for doing all kinds of testing," said Mike Lewis, Four Corners Regional Airport Manager.
