Ft. Sumner shooting suspect sought by police

FORT SUMNER, N.M. – New Mexico State Police officials are asking for the public's help in searching for a suspect connected to a shooting incident that occurred in the eastern New Mexico village of Fort Sumner on Sunday.

According to authorities, 48-year-old Andy Lucero should be considered armed and dangerous. He is a 5 foot 10 inch man who weighs about 160 pounds and has brown eyes with dark hair.

No additional details on the shooting were provided by State Police, other than NMSP officers were involved. None were injured.
