Highway Patrol Troopers in Mississippi rescued the teenager Monday.

NBC affiliate WTVA reports highway patrol troopers found the 14-year-old girl when they pulled over a van on Interstate 22 Monday.

Two people, from Georgia, were taken into custody. However, charges have not been filed yet.

The Espanola Police Department said the initial information about the girl's disappearance didn't rise to the level of issuing an Amber Alert. However, once they were able to obtain information from the girl's cell phone, her case was considered a kidnapping.

The case has been forwarded to the FBI, which has not released additional information about the suspects or the girl.
