Halloween buckets can have different meanings

FARMINGTON, N.M.–  Colorful pumpkin buckets have been popping to represent different trick-or-treat situations.

For example, the teal bucket has come to represent food allergies. With that in mind, homeowners can pass out non-food treats from teal buckets, so as to signal they are passing out allergy-free treats for kids.

But that isn’t the only color people should keep in mind. A mother in Louisiana has taken to Facebook to explain that her stepson, who has autism, will be using a dark blue colored bucket will trick-or-treating this year.
