It happened on the campus around 6 p.m. last night. Police say a wanted man, who has no affiliation with the school, led officers on a foot chase toward the campus that ended with a shooting in a fenced area of the school.

It's not clear what led up to the shooting or the extent of any injuries.

Police say the portion of the school where the shooting took place is expected to be closed today as police investigate. Classes will resume as normal.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call 575-526-0795.
