LCPD Public Information Officer Dan Trujillo said the man and woman stole roughly $3,500 worth of merchandise from the Wal-Mart on South Valley Drive last Thursday. As seen in the surveillance video, the man put iPods and Beats headphones into a shopping cart after he broke into a locked case. Then the woman uses a rug to cover the merchandise.

The couple then put the items into their pockets before walking out of the store and driving away in a white SUV, Trujillo said. Police believe that SUV could be a GMC Yukon or Chevrolet Suburban with Texas license plates.

There is a $1,000 reward from Las Cruces Crime Stoppers for any information about the shoplifting. Call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
