According to a post on the department's Facebook page, officers located Marcus Isaiah Atencio overnight with the assistance of his mother.

He was taken into custody without incident.

Police had alerted the public of Atencio on Monday, saying he had taken off from his mother's home.

His mother, Angelique Roybal talked with KOB's Brittany Costello Monday night. She said her husband called police after they believed they had found drugs in Atencio's backpack. When officers arrived, Marcus was gone, apparently escaping through a window of the home.

Atencio was wanted for possession and trafficking of cocaine. Police also said he is a suspect in an armed robbery.
