ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— The Tonight Show host, Jimmy Fallon, snubbed New Mexico when referencing the world’s largest nacho dish that was served up in Las Cruces.

“Over the weekend, a city in Nevada broke a world record, making a 5,000 pound serving of nachos. It was fun until a guy tried to grab one chip and dragged all 5,000 pounds onto his plate,” Fallon joked.

As most people know, Las Cruces is not in Nevada.

Despite the flub, Las Cruces is still proud of its world record. According to the Las Cruces Sun News, the nachos weighed 5,039 pounds and were 110 feet long.

All of the ingredients were purchased from New Mexico companies.
