NMDOT to host car seat installation clinic in Las Cruces

NMDOT to host car seat installation clinic in Las Cruces

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The state's Department of Transportation is teaming up with Safer New Mexico Now in hopes of making sure parents and caregivers have properly installed car seats in their vehicles.

That's why the groups will be hosting a Child Safety Seat Fitting Station in Las Cruces on the first Wednesday of every month.

The free hands-on educational event will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at Sisbarro Buick-GMC on 425 West Boutz Road.

Technicians will be on hand to educate parents and caregivers on how to not only choose the right car or booster seat but how to install them and properly use them. 

Parents need to bring their child's safety seat to the appointment that will last approximately 30 minutes per seat.
