NMSP searching for Texas murder suspect

NEW MEXICO – New Mexico State Police are searching for a Texas homicide suspect.
Kionne Lewis, 29, escaped on foot after his car hit stop sticks late Monday. Lewis escaped into a field near U.S. Highways 70 and 285 north of Roswell, which caused a part of U.S. Highway 285 to close as NMSP, Roswell police and Chaves County police searched for him.
Lewis is wanted for a homicide in Midland, Texas. NMSP describes him as armed and dangerous. Police are urging people to call 911 if they spot Lewis.
