BLOOMFIELD, N.M.— People in Bloomfield know Ron Deuel as Mr. Fix It.

"He's just there for everybody,” said Rita Brooks, who nominated Deuel for Pay it 4ward. “No matter what it is, your vehicles, your house, if something goes wrong, he's always there for you."

Deuel, who owns JAMRS Inc & Custom Chrome, is known for fixing vehicles and helping anyone who needs a helping hand.

“He's taught me so much, he's taught all of us so much,” Brooks said.

Brooks said Deuel is deserving of the $400, so she surprised him with the cash.

"It's pretty crazy. I never thought, especially with my shady past, I didn't think anyway in the world that I'd ever be in a position to help people,” Deuel said.
