ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- A 36-year-old pedestrian from Truth or Consequences died in an early Thursday morning hit-and-run crash, New Mexico State Police say.

NMSP identified the victim as Nathan Wasson. Lt. Elizabeth Armijo said Wasson was found dead in the right lane on northbound I-25 at mile marker 78.

Armijo said the vehicle that hit Wasson fled the scene. State police will continue to investigate, asking anyone with information to call (505) 841-9256 and select option 3.
