2 killed in plane crash near Santa Fe airport

SANTA FE, N.M.- Two people were killed in a plane crash near the Santa Fe Regional Airport on Monday.
One of the victims was identified as flight instructor Larry Haight. The other victim, Edward Jay Goldgehn, was a student pilot, according to New Mexico State Police spokesperson Ray Wilson.
Officials said the plane was approaching the airport when it crashed.
The debris field was small, just off a road and short of the runway, according to officials.
The FAA will investigate the cause of the crash.
